# PrintCAD

> PrintCAD (https://printcad.app) is a free, browser-based 3D CAD tool for designing parts for 3D printing. No install and no account. Users sketch on the build plate or on faces, push/pull sketches and faces into solids, refine with fillets, chamfers, shells, patterns and booleans, and export 3MF, STL or STEP for slicers such as Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer.

- Price: free. Optional donations via PayPal.
- Platform: any modern web browser (WebGL + WebAssembly). Precise B-rep geometry via the OpenCascade kernel.
- Export: 3MF (recommended, millimeters), STL, STEP. Import: STEP, STL.
- Modeling: line, rectangle, circle, polygon, slot and text sketches; overlapping or line-divided regions extrude separately; push/pull; fillet; chamfer; shell (hollow); mirror; linear and circular pattern; union/subtract/intersect; exact numeric input for sizes, offsets and angles.
- Also: arc and spline sketches, offset and rounded corners, editable segment lengths/angles, screw holes (M2–M8 clearance, self-tapping, countersunk, counterbore, nut trap), resize cylindrical holes/bosses, auto-orient for fewest supports, thin-wall check, split with alignment pins, share links and embeddable viewer, history panel, works offline (PWA), touch support, revolve, parametric templates (box with lid, name tag/keychain, washer/spacer, mounting plate), split body by plane, measure tool.
- 3D printing helpers: overhang highlighting (>45°), cross-section view, build-plate presets (Bambu Lab X1/P1/A1, A1 mini, Prusa MK4/MINI, Creality Ender-3/K1, Elegoo Neptune 4), lay a face flat, drop to bed, out-of-bounds warnings, volume and weight estimates.
