How do I size a cap for an existing bottle or jar?
Measure the outside diameter of the neck thread with calipers and enter it as the neck thread diameter. Count the thread starts over 10 mm to estimate the pitch (many bottles use about 3 mm).
What clearance should a printed screw cap have?
0.4 mm (default) suits a printed cap on a printed neck. Reduce it to 0.2–0.3 mm for a tighter seal; add a rubber or printed TPU gasket for liquids.
How should I print the cap?
Print it with the closed top on the bed and the open end up — no supports are needed. The neck ring prints standing on its flange.
